Fast CAT News

We are looking forward to the Fast CAT season for 2024. We will still have to honor the COVID19 protocols to make every effort for a safe and healthy event. Many clubs are looking forward to hosting an event. Check out the calendar and event page to see the events already planned. When you attend a Fast CAT event don’t forget to bring the following:

• Your signed waiver. If you have a waiver on file, update your signature.

• A friend to help you release or catch your dog

• Two leashes, water and water dish, and your mask

• We will be practicing all of our COVID 19 protocols

The popularity of Fast CAT has been taking the canine sports county by storm! All breeds of dogs are having a great time with this new sport that anyone and any dog can do. Fast Cat is a timed, 100 yard dash where a dog chases a lure. It is open to all dogs who are:

• at least 12 months old

• registered or listed with the AKC (for trial credit)

• just looking for some additional exercise

Fast CAT is a “prey drive sport”—meaning that if your dog likes to chase a ball, Frisbee, or squirrel, he/she will probably love the sport. The Showcase For Dogs has two Fast CAT courses and offers practice times and AKC events. Look at these smiling dogs below.
