About Us
The Showcase for Dogs Training and Event Center in East Windsor, CT was created in 2012 to provide a safe, attractive and effective outdoor training complex totally dedicated to all things "dog". We offer a 10 acre campus of double fenced, mostly manicured grounds designed to provide diversified training programs and show quality facilities.
Our classes are taught by outstanding instructors with many years of experience in handling dogs. We focus on positive training techniques for both owners and their dogs, and like to think that no one, whether human or canine, is too old to learn new things, if they want to!
Handlers and their dogs can select from a wide variety of classes, participate in competitive events, or just come to watch and have fun. The Showcase invites clubs and organizations to host their conformation shows, agility trials, or Rally matches at our facility. We also have facilities for Barn Hunt, Fast Cat, Tracking, Canine Good Citizen, and Trick Dog Testing. We are conveniently located off Route 91, (exit 45), between Hartford, CT and Springfield, MA.
“Where good dogs become better, and better dogs become the best!”
Our Team
Linda Friedrich
Linda Friedrich met her match 11 years ago when she adopted a 3 year old Golden Retriever named Kaedra who had been given up because her former owner said that she was "too hard to handle" and "untrainable". In reality, Kaedra was simply a smart, high energy Golden who needed to channel her intelligence in good directions, via new challenges.
Bonnie Henderson
Bonnie is a Certified Pet Dog Trainer, and has owned her own dog training business, A Better Canine, since 2001. Bonnie began her agility career in 1999, and is now both a local and national competitor.
Michele Longo
In the year 2000, after 15 years of working in the world of marketing, she jumped off the corporate ladder and went straight to the dogs! Michele first got her feet wet working with dogs in her position as the playtime manager at a full service pet resort. She then did a one year internship at a highly respected training center in central Connecticut
Ricardo Sequi
Ricardo and his two dogs, Lucero and Electra, joined the Showcase For Dogs in 2019. Both dogs were invited to the USDAA Nationals in 2019. We are proud and excited to have Ricardo as an agility instructor the Showcase

Kathy has lived with and loved dogs her entire life but never attended a formal training class until 1993 when she adopted a 1 year old Border Collie X that had many behavior issues. Kathy attended her first class at a local training facility that focused on positive reinforcement techniques and quickly became hooked when she saw how well her new dog responded to this form of training.
