Obedience Classes
All obedience classes meet one hour per week for 6 weeks.
Beginning Obedience
Teach your dog to properly heel (walk) with you to make your evening strolls comfortable for both you and your dog. Also, learn other commands:
Sit
Down
Pacing - Slow and Fast
Stand for Exam
Turning right and left
Proper leash control
Proper footwork
Recall and Fronting
Obedience Level 2
Continue to work on the basic commands of obedience and begin to learn the proper footwork and techniques to prepare for the Canine Good Citizen (CGC) exam and competition obedience.
Competition Obedience
Zoom practicing “stand for exam”.
This is a 6 week introduction to AKC Competition Obedience, focusing on the Beginner Novice and Novice level class exercises. Dog and Handler teams will work on refining their heeling, sit and stand for exam, recall, and stay, all with focus on precision and happy working relationship.
